I have been making miniature teddy bears for more than 6 years. I love to design intricate little faces that have all the features of a larger bear, and although I do make larger (8” upward) bears I specialise in miniatures, and each one loves to be a treasured character, perhaps being carried about with you as your “Mini Companion” ! I love to create bears in different styles, and I design other characters, including gollies, gollys, giraffes, dogs and pandas with the “smiley” face I use with all my characters.
The materials I use range from mohairs, alpacas to velvets and synthetic long plushes (5-10mm). I also needlefelt and my materials are highest quality, including the fillings and eyes, most of which are glass or onyx. Most of my characters are limited edition or one of a kind, and I am happy to make a character on commission, as I have with “Mwadui”, my details are overleaf if you would like to ask me. My bears are Collector Items only which means they are not suitable for children The materials used ( glass eyes, fillings, fur ) can be hazardous to a child if the bear was torn apart or chewed on.
